3 Months~Big Day!!

I was so excited to be off for Lilah's big 3 month b-day! I couldn't wait to show her the ropes on what us women love to do on special days such as this!!

1. We slept in!!! Girls need their beauty rest!
Here is Lilah dressed and loaded up wondering what on earth her
Momma was dragging her out to do!
2. Starbucks! I think this was more for me, of course, but still, all part of a complete girl's day.
No, no, Starbucks...THANK YOU.

3. We hit the Mall. We may not have the best mall, but it's a mall none the less. We found some great sales and found Lilah's first MUST HAVE ONESIES.

My favorite part of the day was just having fun with my sweet Lilah Bean. We hopped in the photo booth and snapped some fun pics together. I thought it was a fun way to remember the girlie day we spent together for her 3 month day.

When we got home from all our girlie fun, this is what I found in the back seat,
a completely pooped Lilah Bean.

I am so blessed to have a sweet daughter that I can have so much fun with and love!!
(Yay Heather!! I finally updated!!)

Sweet Spider

Lilah's first Halloween is one I will never forget, not only was she the cutest spider even known to man, but she also spent the majority of the day screaming with a painful tummy ache!! I was so happy that I was at least able to snap some pictures of her in her costume. The great part was that she was actually in a pretty good mood for the part that counted...the Trick or Treating!!

Here is my sweet spider.....

And here she is again letting me know just how she was feeling!!

Cousin Layne sure made her first Halloween extra fun!

We walked and watched Cousin Layne rack up on the candy

Daddy and Cousin Layne
OOoooOOoooooOOOOOooooo!!! Pretty scary guys!

Momma and Auntie Whitney (and don't forget Cousin Layton, to be arriving in Jan.!!)

The women returned to hold down the fort and pass out candy to the eager
Trick or Treaters while the men forged on door to door

Love at first FRIGHT!
Corey found these masks fo $1 and was so proud of
himself for adding to the fun.
They were pretty scary if you ask me.....creepy looking!

Lilah wasn't one bit scared of Daddy in his mask! She was actually all grins....
a girl after my own heart. Maybe Halloween will be her favorite too!

SEE...these are scary masks! Ewwww. Well here we are, our first Halloween!!

Road Trip!

At 4 whole big weeks, we took Lilah on her first road trip. Corey is going to be in a wedding in October and we had to get him fitted for a tux. We woke up early (well, semi-early) and hit the road to Sugarland. It's impossible to take two gals to Sugarland and JUST get fitted for a tux, shopping must be involved!!

Lilah gave us the thumbs up! She's ready to hit the open road. Daddy is all smiles too, so far so good!
Now, there is one thing about Lilah, she poops like a crazy baby anytime we are in public! I always have to have extra clothes, LOTS of diapers and wipees!

First stop: Tuxedo place. Lilah was needing to eat and their bathrooms were tiny and filthy. Typical of a place men shop. There was an employee who was gracious enough to let me use their large handicap dressing room. It was nice, but a little weird nursing with men in dressing rooms all around you with a smacking baby. Lilah is also NOT a lady when it comes to her baby crazy pooping. She was ripping them so loud and I was so embarrassed. She blew out 2, YES 2 diapers in 10 minutes. It was loud and smelly and I was so glad to get out of there!!!

Here we are again in the dressing room with yet ANOTHER major blow out! I mean what is this child eating? This one required a wardrobe change. I know I am mentioning poop a lot, but that was pretty much all she did the whole trip!

Little fun with Dad while Momma shopped.
Mohawks are in for all the truely hip baby girls this year.

Momma is pretty ready to head home after a quick stop at Buckee's for some late night snacks. Lilah also made her first road trip friend, Buckee himself in the flesh...or.....fur!

She was quite the trooper. Poor baby was worn out and exausted! She was good though, so I know the Winters' girls shopping gene is pumping through those little veins. Yay!! I did learn that nursing anywhere sounds easy enough but is actually super tricky, babies really can sleep through anything AND i don't want to do that again anytime soon.....
or until it's time to pick up the tux.

First Sunday

Lilah's first Sunday to go to church. Isn't she a cutie? We did great, pulled up to the church parking lot and she spit up all over her pretty dress, of course! She also blew out her bloomers at lunch. My little toot!!

Photo Shoot

My big sister, Lacie and her family were finally able to visit from Brock and come meet our sweet Lilah. Lacie has an awesome camera and I told her the one thing that I really wanted her to do while she was down was help me take some pictures of Lilah for her birth announcements. Lilah was really good and 200+ pictures and a naptime break later, we had some really adorable pictures. I was so excitied! Lacie did a really beautiful job and now I know exactly what I want Santa to bring me this year! Lacie's camera!!
Just look at that face!

We bought these little bloomers at an embroidery shop in Cuero.
They are still way too big, but they made for a very sweet picture!

This is one of my favorites! This is the Lilah we always tell people about, but no one ever sees. She definately knows how to turn it on and off, but Corey and I know the truth.
Even so, isn't it the cutes little tantrum face you have ever seen?

And another favorite.
Something so precious about a momma and her daughter.
I'll have to look back on this picture when she's 16 and making me crazy and remember that there is my sweet baby in there somewhere!!

Splish Splash

SPLISH SPLASH!!
We gave Lilah her first bath.....she doesn't hide her emotions either!
She HATED her first bath~wasn't sure we were ever bathing her again!
The hair being washed, on the other hand, was acceptable. She actually liked that part.

Here she is warming up and drying off.
As soon as we wrapped her in a towel she was perfectly happy.

Here she is all clean and happy.

Lilah Claire has Arrived

Our little Lilah Claire finally arrived!! (and I am FINALLY blogging) She is, of course, the most beautiful baby we have ever seen. Here are the pictures and the story of how our pretty girl made her way into our world and hearts!

We were to be at the hospital at midnight to have our angel on Auust 18, 2009. We were very nervous and super excited. I had been packed for about 3 weeks because everyone just knew this baby was coming early! Corey was packing about an our before we had to leave! So here we are excited and having no idea what the day will hold, all we know is that the completion to the story will be our lovely Lilah Claire.

This is actually when we arrived and got settled. We wanted to remeber the time our adventure began. I wasn't actually given anything to start labor until 2am and the pitocin wasn't started until 6am. We both had talked about getting some sleep, but I can't remeber being able to sit still or close my eyes! I think we tried......

Here I am trying to smile but I am so nervous I can barely stand it!

Corey is much more relaxed.

Here is my monitor, the contractions started very promptly after 6am. I was glued to the monitor the whole time! Contractions were not the worst thing that I ever experienced though. They weren't fun, but they weren't awful. I was definately ready for the epidural when it was time. They came in and told me it would be 15 minutes and the CRNA would be in to start it. That was the longest 15 minutes I have ever known, definately worth the wait!! It was much more fun to oooooo and awwwww at how big the contractions were when I couldn't feel them!

Here is everyone hanging out and waiting for the fun to start. Boy they look like they are enjoying themselves or something. Must be nice to be that relaxed!

I was only about 5 hours in and Lilah was showing her first signs of stuggling. After MUCH, MUCH work, we had to throw in the towel and head to the OR for a C-section. I cried the whole way there. :( All in God's plan and I ended up with a perfect little girl within minutes! This was the actual time that they wheeled me down.

Corey dressed and ready to meet his daughter

This was the first moment I saw her. It is one of my favorite pictures because it's a moment that I never want to forget. I couldn't see anything that was going on so hearing her first cry was the most special moment of my life. I remember moments before looking at Corey and saying, "we are about to be parents!" The words were so surreal to say, but hearing her cry almost took my breath. My eyes were instantly wet with tears, it was amazing. You wait 9 months and watch your tummy grow and feel your baby move, but there is nothing like hearing and seeing her for the first time!!

My sweet Girl!

About to have her first picture taken, thank goodness she didn't make that face for the camera!

Our sweet family made even sweeter with something so tiny

This is the face of a super proud poppa. I was afraid that I would never hold her again!

After a long first day of life, it was such a treat to sleep in the next morning with Daddy.
I laid her with Corey so I could take a shower and returned to find Lilah rubbing her Daddy's chin while they were both sleeping.

Whew! She was one unhappy girl about losing the onsie and putting on a frilly dress (although I know she will definately be a "dress girl") It was time to head home and see her room that has been waiting on her arrival!

Isn't she precious!

Finally home! Our first family adventure. What a wonderful experience and I look forward to many, many more together!
